Why is it important for events to be sustainable?

Our commitment to sustainability and environmental impact stretches throughout each stage of the planning process, but it begins with us and our choices.

The amount of waste produced from a standard 150 person event can amount to 366 lbs of waste, 68% of which goes to landfill. We don't want to be another statistic.

The goal of sustainable events is to make the best use of resources and technology to have events that are more productive with smart choices that can have a major impact on the event’s environmental impact.

How we're helping host eco-conscious sustainable events:

  • We've gone virtual - no print materials here!

  • Reduce water and energy consumption

  • All reusable towels in the bathroom & reel toilet paper

  • We maximize the use of natural lighting with skylights

  • Motion-controlled light switches

  • Easy access to public transportation

  • Indoor water efficiency and water reduction

  • Reducing impacts associated with excessive energy use

  • Use of natural ventilation systems

  • Incorporating recycled materials in the building

  • Encouraging compostable materials for food service

  • A ban on single use plastics including straws

  • Event Waste Audit support

  • Compost locations for your caterer to utilize within 1 block
